Can You Clean Travertine and Natural Stone Tile?

Yes — we clean all tile types including travertine, marble, slate, limestone, and other natural stone. Natural stone requires specialized pH-neutral cleaning solutions that won't etch or damage the surface (never use vinegar or acidic cleaners on natural stone!). Our technician has 15+ years of experience with all tile materials and adjusts pressure settings and solutions for each type. We always do a small test area first to ensure safe, effective cleaning. Whether it's a travertine entryway, marble bathroom, or slate patio, we've got you covered. Call (772) 879-5722.

What NOT to Use on Natural Stone

Vinegar, lemon juice, bleach, and most store-bought tile cleaners are acidic. They dissolve the calcium in travertine and marble, creating permanent etch marks that look like water stains. We use only pH-neutral, stone-safe solutions that clean without damaging the surface.

Florida-Specific Stone Care

Travertine is one of the most popular flooring materials in Port Saint Lucie and Stuart homes. Florida's hard water leaves mineral deposits in the stone's natural pores, creating a dull haze that mopping spreads rather than removes. Professional extraction is the only way to pull these deposits out of the stone.

IMPORTANT

If your travertine or marble looks "cloudy" or has lost its shine, it's likely mineral buildup from Florida's hard water, not permanent damage. Professional cleaning and sealing restores the original finish in most cases. Call (772) 879-5722 for a free assessment.
